Devon County Council’s Disabled Children's Service (Mid & East Devon) is seeking an Advanced Social Worker. You will lead complex cases, provide supervision and mentoring, and support robust assessments and court work while guiding less experienced staff in best practice.

You’ll work in a role that blends direct practice with team development, ensuring high-quality outcomes for disabled children and their families through a collaborative, multi-agency approach.

Qualificações

• Substantial post-qualifying experience in children and families social work.
• Experience with complex statutory casework and court processes.
• Ability to lead, supervise and mentor colleagues.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and professional standards.
• Willingness to undertake Practice Educator training if needed.

Responsabilidades

• Lead high-quality, evidence-based practice and supervise others.
• Undertake and co-work complex cases with robust assessments and risk management.
• Chair practice-based meetings and deputise for the Team Manager as required.
• Contribute to audits, service improvements and day-to-day operations.
