Job summary

Dudley Children's Services is recruiting two Agency Advanced Social Work Practitioners to join the Family Help Service. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced social workers who are passionate about practice excellence and workforce development.

The Advanced Practitioner will be a non-case holding role providing practice leadership, mentoring and support to practitioners across the service, working closely with Team Managers to improve outcomes for children and families.

Responsibilities

• Support the Team Manager in overseeing case progression and reducing drift and delay.
• Provide mentoring, coaching and day-to-day support to less experienced social workers.
• Offer professional consultation on complex cases and safeguarding decisions.
• Promote high-quality social work practice through reflective discussions and practice development.
• Assist in ensuring statutory visits, assessments, plans and reviews are completed within required timescales.
• Support with case closures and appropriate step-down referrals.
