Advanced Practitioner - Safeguarding Team

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for an Advanced Practitioner within the Safeguarding Team to work full time for Achieving for Children, based in Kingston.

The salary for this permanent Advanced Practitioner job is up to £58,116 per annum.

Responsibilities:

  1. The post holder will support practice related development across our services based in Kingston and Richmond focusing primarily on court work.
  2. They will be responsible for the development and implementation of excellence practice across the organisation, and specifically within the teams.
  3. The post holder will have a more complex caseload of Child Protection, pre-proceedings and court cases.
  4. The post holder will also be responsible for assisting social workers to develop experience and skills in managing court work.
  5. They will be required to deputise for the Team Leaders where needed.
  6. The role will require close links with the Head of Service, Case Progression Officer, Legal Department and senior leadership team to ensure that there is a joined up approach to practice development in this area.
  7. The post holder will support social workers so that their practice is effective, meets regularly requirements, complies with statutory guidance, and learns from evidence-based interventions and innovative practice.
  8. The postholder will support use of the Signs of Safety and Wellbeing framework across Social Care, and will support the framework with the use of direct tools for working with children and young people.
  9. In all roles across AFC the post holders will be expected to develop and lead a culture of partnership and innovation, so that services are child focussed, flexible and adaptable.
  10. The whole organisation should learn from mistakes, share knowledge and challenge existing practice.

Requirements:

  1. A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
  2. Understanding of relevant legislation.
  3. Registered or eligible for registration.
  4. Have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
