What your typical day looks like:
  • Provide autonomous, advanced clinical care.
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, and refer patients effectively.
  • Conduct and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations.
  • Initiate specialist referrals where appropriate.
  • Maintain high-quality clinical records in line with best practice.
  • Stay up to date with developments in clinical practice.
  • Work within professional regulatory guidelines and scope of practice.
To be a successful Advanced Practitioner you'll need:
  • Professional Registration - NMC, HCPC, or GPhC.
  • Independent Prescriber - Registered as a non-medical prescriber.
  • Education - Minimum of two Level 7 modules, including clinical assessment skills.
  • Experience - Autonomous practice in multi-professional teams.
  • Strong clinical decision-making and assessment skills.
