Job description

Joining our Contact, Assessment and Resolution Team (CART) as an Advanced Practitioner, you’ll be an integral part of our contact centre team. You’ll use a person-centred approach and your knowledge of strengths-based practice to support our team with Social Work and Occupational Therapy contacts, finding innovative ways to meet people’s needs and maximise their independence and wellbeing.

What You’ll Do:
  1. Provide advice and guidance to the team with Social Work and Occupational Therapy referrals and case management
  2. Make safeguarding decisions
  3. Support the team with the duty function
  4. Deputise for the Team Manager
What We’re Looking For:
  1. A qualified Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Sensory Worker, registered with the relevant regulatory body.
  2. Robust understanding of the statutory duties of local government in social care.
  3. Effective communication skills, especially in challenging situations.
  4. Ability to assess risks, identify problems, and find creative solutions.
  5. Adaptability to respond positively to the changing needs of the service and its users.
  6. Commitment to demonstrating our values and behaviours, showing compassion, empathy and respect.
  7. Proven experience in supervising, mentoring and developing team members.
Additional Information:

Your working hours will be Monday-Friday 08:30-17:00, with a 16:30 finish on Fridays. Following your office-based induction period, you’ll be able to work from home up to 3 days per week.

We’re currently based out of The Parkway in Fareham, but our offices will be moving to Havant Public Service Plaza towards the end of the year.
