Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is recruiting two Advanced Practitioners to join the Child Protection Resource in Edinburgh. You will undertake initial assessments for children not already in care, using strengths-based and restorative approaches to safeguard wellbeing.

The role requires a recognised social work qualification and considerable post-qualifying experience in Children & Families, including complex child protection investigations.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with considerable post-qualifying experience.
• Experience of complex child protection investigations.
• Strong assessment, communication and partnership-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake initial assessments for children not already involved with social work.
• Work in a strengths-based and restorative way with children and families.
