Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking an Advanced Practitioner (ANP) with primary care experience for roles in Dunoon, Argyll & Bute. The positions involve autonomous work on urgent, non-emergency primary care presentations, with emphasis on assessment, treatment and prescribing where qualified, and clear safety-netting and escalation protocols.

The service focuses on new or recent problems suitable for a single episode of care, rather than chronic disease management or ongoing follow-up.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years post-graduate experience.
• 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
• You will need to pass an enhanced background check. - PVG
• Be confident working autonomously with urgent, non-emergency primary care presentations - assessing, treating and prescribing where appropriately qualified, with clear safety-netting and escalation.
• The service is focused on new or recent problems suitable for a single episode of care, rather than emergencies, chronic disease management, repeat prescribing or ongoing follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Be confident working autonomously with urgent, non-emergency primary care presentations, assessing, treating and prescribing where appropriately qualified, with safety-netting and escalation.
• Work in a service focused on single-episode primary care problems, not ongoing chronic disease management.
