Are you a qualified Band 7 Advanced Practitioner eager to utilize your skills in a large integrated breast service, undertaking mammograms and breast ultrasound as part of your advancing practice role?

We are an integrated Breast Service responsible for symptomatic services in the Bradford district and the NHS Breast Screening Programme covering Airedale, Bradford, Calderdale, Dewsbury, and Huddersfield districts. The service operates from the Pennine mammography suite at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bradford, with 4 mobile units serving the community.
Requirements include: Post Graduate Award in Mammography, registration with the Health Professionals Council, postgraduate certificate, and experience in breast ultrasound. Training at Band 6 level will be considered.
As an Advanced Practitioner, you will utilize a range of clinical and managerial skills, including mammography and breast ultrasound. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, liaising with Surgeons, Radiologists, Sonographers, and other staff, undertaking symptomatic and screening mammograms to NHSBSP standards, and performing highly skilled procedures for diagnosis.
You will develop clinical practice, participate in research, audits, and evidence-based practices to enhance patient care, and contribute to departmental Quality Assurance programs.
You will actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings, providing specialist knowledge to support patient care.
