Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Clinical Vascular Scientist to join our Advanced Practice Vascular Sonographers within the Radiology Non-Obstetric Ultrasound Team. Royal Shrewsbury Hospital will host the role with cross-site duties to Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.

The post involves independent performance, interpretation and reporting of a wide range of vascular ultrasound examinations, with the expectation to advise on clinical action and ensure high‑quality

Qualifications

Relevant Science Degree (BSc or higher).
Accredited CSVS Membership or HCPC registration as Clinical Scientist.
CASE accredited PgCert/PgDip/MSc in Vascular Ultrasound or equivalent.
NHS experience preferred.
Current visa/work eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Independently perform, interpret and report vascular ultrasound investigations.
Assist in cross-site operation between Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.
Communicate findings and recommendations to clinicians and patients.
Engage in CPD and contribute to departmental governance and audits.
Provide training to students and junior staff as required.
