Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Sonographers to join a friendly, multi-disciplinary team across Bristol City and Weston Operating Unit sites. The role covers obstetric, general abdominal, gynaecology, small parts and musculoskeletal ultrasound, with opportunities for both full-time and part-time work and flexible arrangements.

You must hold a CASE-accredited PgCert/Dip/MSc in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive and extensive knowledge and experience in ultrasound modality.
• Competency in independent reporting at Advanced practice level with enhanced clinical reasoning.
• Previous NHS ultrasound experience.
• Excellent organisational and time management, planning and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent communication and counselling skills.
• Able to work as part of a team and also independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
• Provide diagnostic report of examinations according to the level of authorisation agreed.
• Participate in service provision across the different sites.
• Communicate and liaise with patients, clinicians and other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
