An established healthcare provider is seeking a dynamic Cancer Pharmacist to join their innovative team. The Cancer Pharmacist Team at UHDB has a longstanding reputation for proactive and innovative work, utilizing cutting-edge technology and responding effectively to new treatment implementations within the Trust.
Working across multiple sites, the team exemplifies true collaborative cross-site working, delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing chemotherapy in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
The team also includes several non-medical prescribers who support clinicians in chemotherapy clinics, independently prescribing SACT, managing toxicities, and providing patient support and advice. Their contributions have reduced clinician workload, shortened waiting times, and enhanced patient experience.
The Trust recognizes the significant impact of the cancer pharmacist team on cancer care delivery, leading to approval for 1 WTE of this post following a successful workforce bid.
The successful candidates will operate within a hybrid-role model, combining traditional pharmacist duties with non-medical prescribing, with each aspect allocated 0.5 WTE.
Please note: this is a cross-site post; successful candidates will be expected to work across Royal Derby Hospital and Queens Burton Hospital as required.
