Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist to lead high-risk casework and shape innovative service delivery. You will supervise staff, mentor practitioners, and support the professional growth of your team within the Reablement Service.

HCPC registration is required, with knowledge of local government social care duties and a commitment to safeguarding and professional standards.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with UK registration.
• Strong understanding of statutory duties of local government in social care.
• Experience supervising staff and developing practitioners learning and professional growth.
• Significant experience in assessment, planning and reviewing of case work.
• Commitment to demonstrating values and professional behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex casework: assess, plan, and review high-risk cases to promote independence.
• Provide expert advice and training to staff in high-risk or challenging cases.
• Champion Occupational Therapy and promote innovative service delivery approaches.
• Promote teamwork with other therapists, carers and support teams to improve outcomes.
• Ensure safeguarding policies and professional standards are followed.
