Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner for flexible regional primary care sessions across Tewkesbury. You will lead autonomous ANP clinics and provide advanced nursing assessments within established GP and community services.

You will deliver urgent and routine care, conduct triage, and prescribe within your scope, with full autonomy and support in a well-structured, locum-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7) or equivalent.
• Independent Prescribing (V300) required or eligible.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community settings.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in diverse environments.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Running autonomous ANP-led clinics within primary care settings
• Managing acute, undifferentiated and minor illness presentations
• Conducting telephone and face-to-face triage
• Prescribing safely within scope of competence
• Reviewing results and handling routine follow-up actions
• Recording accurate clinical notes within the clinic's digital systems

Requirements
