Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to deliver flexible regional primary care sessions across Bruton. You will have autonomy within established clinics while managing advanced assessments, same-day presentations and prescribing within your scope.

Working patterns are fully flexible with weekday, evening or weekend slots, including ad-hoc or ongoing bookings. You will be supported by GP and community services with clear pathways and safe workflows.

Qualifications

• Level 7 Advanced Practice qualification required.
• Independent Prescribing (V300) required.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community settings preferred.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and communication skills essential.
• Confidence working autonomously in new environments.
• Enhanced DBS clearance desirable.

Responsibilities

• Running autonomous ANP-led clinics within primary care settings.
• Managing acute, undifferentiated and minor illness presentations.
• Conducting telephone and face-to-face triage.
• Prescribing safely within scope of competence.
• Reviewing results and handling routine follow-up actions.
• Recording accurate clinical notes within the clinic’s digital systems.
