Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to provide flexible regional primary care sessions across Padstow. You will deliver advanced assessments, manage same-day presentations and support routine patient demand within GP and community services, with autonomy over your clinical practice.

Qualifications

• Level 7 Advanced Practice qualification required.
• Independent Prescribing (V300) required.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community settings preferred.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Run autonomous ANP-led clinics within primary care settings.
• Manage acute, undifferentiated and minor illness presentations.
• Conduct telephone and face-to-face triage.
• Prescribe safely within scope of competence.
• Review results and handle routine follow-up actions.
• Record accurate clinical notes in digital systems.

This role offers structured sessions within established primary care clinics, giving you full autonomy over your clinical practice while maintaining consistency in your working environment.

You will deliver advanced assessments, manage same-day presentations and support routine patient demand within well-supported GP and community services. Each clinic provides clear pathways, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Running autonomous ANP-led clinics within primary care settings
• Managing acute, undifferentiated and minor illness presentations
• Conducting telephone and face-to-face triage
• Prescribing safely within scope of competence
• Reviewing results and handling routine follow-up actions
• Recording accurate clinical notes within the clinic’s digital systems

Requirements

• Level 7 Advanced Practice qualification
• Independent Prescribing (V300)
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community settings
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and communication skills
• Confidence working autonomously in new environments
• Enhanced DBS clearance
