Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner for flexible regional primary care sessions across Ashington, offering autonomy over clinical practice within established GP and community services. You will deliver advanced assessments and manage same-day presentations across well-supported clinics.

Responsibilities include autonomous ANP-led clinics, triage by phone and face-to-face, and safe prescribing within competence, with clear pathways and a safe, efficient workflow

Qualifications

• Level 7 Advanced Practice qualification is required.
• Independent Prescribing (V300) required.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community settings.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and communication skills.
• Able to work autonomously in new environments.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

You will deliver advanced assessments, manage same-day presentations and support routine patient demand within well-supported GP and community services. Each clinic provides clear pathways, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Running autonomous ANP-led clinics within primary care settings
• Managing acute, undifferentiated and minor illness presentations
• Conducting telephone and face-to-face triage
• Prescribing safely within scope of competence
• Reviewing results and handling routine follow-up actions
• Recording accurate clinical notes within the clinic's digital systems

Requirements

• Level 7 Advanced Practice qualification
• Independent Prescribing (V300)
