Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is offering an exciting Advanced Nurse Practitioner post in the North Ayrshire Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service at Caley Court Resource Centre, Stevenson. The role is permanent and part of NADARS, with 36 hours per week and a Band 7 salary.

You will assess patients, provide expert clinical care, lead nursing staff and participate in education and audits. A UK driving licence is essential for this role and sponsorship details may apply.

Qualifications

• First Level Registered Nurse - RMN.
• Experience in addictions care is essential.
• Evidence of continuing professional development – masters level modules in advanced practice, clinical assessment and non-medical prescribing.
• Demonstrable leadership and ability to work in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, plan and implement care within agreed protocols.
• Initiate clinical investigations and determine differential diagnosis for addiction presentations.
• Deliver educational addiction-related training within Mental Health.
• Provide specialist advice and maintain high standard of clinical record keeping.
• Lead, supervise and advise nursing staff and coordinate multi-professional team input.
• Contribute to audit and quality assurance programmes; promote best practice.
