Job summary

We Are With You in South Ayrshire is seeking an experienced Substance Use Nurse to join our service and deliver high-quality nursing care to people affected by substances. You will assess care needs, develop and evaluate programmes, and advocate for patients within a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide health and wellbeing, harm reduction interventions, and education to service users, supporting their recovery journey with flexible working hours and a compassionate, person-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration as Mental Health Nurse.
• Experience delivering nursing care in substance use or harm reduction settings.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Flexible working hours including occasional late-night and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care.
• Provide health and wellbeing interventions and harm reduction for service users.
• Advocate for patients and coordinate with other health professionals.
• Deliver healthcare clinics or groups and educate clients.
