Job description

Opportunity available for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work within Urgent Care, based in Harlow.

The team operates within an Urgent Care Centre, with the role primarily responsible for delivering evidence-based nursing services as part of a multidisciplinary team. The Nurse Practitioner will work autonomously, managing clinical areas such as health promotion, chronic disease management, health prevention, and well-man clinics. They will support the management team in reviewing clinical policies and procedures.

This role includes developing, implementing, and evaluating health promotion, wellbeing programmes, and individual treatment plans for both acute and non-acute conditions. The practitioner will support the clinical team in managing chronic disease patients and identifying patients at risk of long-term conditions, aiming to prevent adverse health effects. Providing routine nursing care in accordance with clinical evidence, NICE, and NSF standards is essential. The practitioner will also be able to prescribe medication within their scope of practice, review medication effectiveness, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.

The working hours are Days, Evenings, and Long Days.

The hourly rates are:

• Monday to Friday: £44
• Saturday/Sunday: £46
