Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust invites applications for a Developmental Post – Band 7 progressing to Band 8a in MSK Physiotherapy. The role offers a 6‑month development pathway with progression to Band 8a subject to competencies, within an integrated community MSK service across London and Hertfordshire.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in physiotherapy.
• HCPC registration.
• Evidence of CPD in MSK physiotherapy in a detailed personal development portfolio.
• Educational attainment at level 7 in MSK.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
• MSK MSc in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
• Clinical interest group membership.
• Leadership training.
• Injection Therapy qualification.
• Knowledge/experience of pain services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of advanced clinical care for adults with complex MSK conditions.
• Provide expert clinical opinion to managers supporting service development.
• Lead the organisation, development, and evaluation of the Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner service.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure safe, effective patient management.
• Provide clinical leadership within the MSK service and support quality improvement.
• Contribute to mentorship, supervision and development of staff.
• Apply clinical governance principles to support safe practice and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate progression towards Band 8a through the development programme.
• Work within the integrated MSK service delivering high-quality care.
• Engage in education, research and service development activities.
