Job summary

Guinness Property in London is looking for an Advanced Electrician to join the responsive repairs team. The role focuses on installing, testing and maintaining electrical systems up to 230v/415v in residents' homes and commercial settings, with proper certification and accurate records.

The position includes standard weekday hours, late shifts, Saturday mornings on a rota, and an out-of-hours callout rota. Living within the Richmond/Twickenham area and the required IET EAS qualifications are

Qualifications

• Certificated electrician qualifications verified.
• IET EAS core technical competence documented.
• IET EAS Wiring Regulations qualification (18th Edition) held.
• IET EAS initial verification/testing qualification (C&G 2391-52) held.
• Experience in domestic and commercial electrical works.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs across domestic and commercial electrical works.
• Install, maintain and fixed wire test systems up to 230v/415v.
• Complete electrical certifications and record data accurately.
• Follow agreed procedures and health and safety practice.
• Interpret technical data, drawings and instructions.
• Work standard hours, late shifts and Saturday mornings on a rota.
• Take part in the out-of-hours callout rota.
• Make decisions and solve problems, seeking advice where needed.
• Carry out physical tasks and lift weights safely.

The Advanced Electrician joins the London responsive repairs team at Guinness Property, which carries out housing repairs for The Guinness Partnership. The work centres on installing, testing and maintaining electrical systems up to 230v/415v in residents' homes and commercial settings, with certification and accurate records. The role combines standard weekday hours with late shifts, Saturday mornings and an out-of-hours callout rota, and the successful candidate must live within the Richmond/Twickenham area. Candidates need recognised IET EAS electrical qualifications, which must be evidenced before interview.

• Proven experience in fixed wire testing, installing and maintaining up to 230v/415v
• Experience working in a customer-focused environment within performance targets

Skills & knowledge

• Ability to complete certifications, follow procedures and record data accurately
• Ability to interpret technical data, drawings and instructions
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems
• Good working knowledge of health and safety practice
• Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights in line with health and safety guidelines
