Job summary

The Guinness Partnership in Milton Keynes is seeking an Advanced Electrician to join our Home Counties team, delivering responsive repairs across our housing stock with a 40-hour week and rota shifts Monday–Friday plus Saturday mornings. Out-of-hours shifts provide additional pay and are on a rota basis.

You will be based in Milton Keynes area, holding a full UK driving licence, with a basic DBS check funded by Guinness. A strong focus on safety and quality is required.

Qualifications

• Certificated Electrician qualifications and demonstrated experience in domestic and commercial electrical works.
• Proven knowledge and experience in electrical fixed wire testing, installing, and maintaining up to 230v/415v.
• Ability to correctly interpret technical data & drawings and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver responsive electrical repairs within a busy housing maintenance service.
• Participate in an out-of-hours callout rota and rotas, with additional payment when on call.

About The Role

We are looking for an Advanced Electrician to join our Home Counties team, delivering responsive repairs. This is a permanent role, working 40 hours per week covering the hours between 8am – 7pm Monday – Friday plus Saturday morning. The later shift and Saturday morning working is delivered on a rota basis. The role also includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, which comes with an additional payment.

To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate must live within the Milton Keynes area. A full UK driving licence is essential. A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by Guinness.

Essential Requirements Of The Role

• Certificated Electrician qualifications and demonstrated experience in domestic and commercial electrical works.
• Proven knowledge and experience in electrical fixed wire testing, installing, and maintaining up to 230v/415v.
• Ability to correctly complete the relevant certifications, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information.
• Ability to accurately interpret technical data & drawings and instructions.
• Experience working in a customer-focused environment within agreed performance targets.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems seeking any advice required.
• Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
• Good working knowledge of Health & Safety Practices.
