Job summary

Vax is building an Advanced Development team in the UK. You will lead concept generation for either the wet or dry stream, build demonstrators, and prove ideas fast. You’ll define architectures, work with suppliers and industrial design, and mentor junior engineers around you.

You will report to the Head of Advanced Development. This is a hands-on seat with CAD work and bench time, four days a week on site in Droitwich.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Product Design Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven track record of taking products from concept to production.
• Experience in design, build, and test culture with rapid prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept generation for your stream and build working demonstrators quickly.
• Define product and technology architectures and mentor junior engineers.
• Present trade-offs, risks, and technical summaries to senior stakeholders.
