Athona is recruiting an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) for NHS 111 Integrated Urgent Care in Barking, London. The role involves remote clinical assessments and consultations, supported by an NMC registration and an ACP qualification.

We offer day, night and flexible shifts, with full-time and part-time options, to provide continuity and flexibility for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration.
• MSc or PGDip in Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP).
• Independent Non-Medical Prescribing qualification (V300).
• Proven experience within urgent care, primary care or emergency care settings.
• Confidence in autonomous clinical decision-making.
• Excellent communication and digital consultation skills.
• Ability to assess patients and provide safe, evidence-based clinical advice remotely.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote clinical consultations to patients with urgent care needs.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and provide appropriate advice.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (GPs, paramedics, pharmacists, mental health professionals).
• Use NHS Pathways alongside professional clinical judgement to support safe decision-making.
• Direct patients to the most appropriate care pathway and healthcare setting.
• Support the wider NHS by helping to reduce unnecessary pressure on A&E services.

About the Role
Athona is currently recruiting for an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join an NHS 111 Integrated Urgent Care Service in Barking, London.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a clinical assessment role, providing high-quality patient care and clinical advice through telephone and digital consultations.

The role offers full-time and part-time opportunities, with day, night and flexible shifts available. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ACP looking for regular, ongoing work with continuity and flexibility.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:
