Guildhall & Barrow Surgery is seeking a qualified clinical pharmacist to join its busy practice, working as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role is primarily full-time, with potential for reduced hours for the right candidate. You will assess and treat patients, independently prescribe within competence, and contribute to medicines optimisation and clinics.

The post involves home visits, domiciliary reviews, and collaboration with GPs and nurses in a patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a GPhC registered pharmacist.
• Hold or be working towards a GPhC independent prescribing qualification.
• Experience in managing pharmacy services in primary care.

Responsabilités

• Clinically assess and treat patients as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide medicines optimisation and repeat prescribing systems.
• Deliver long-term condition clinics and home visits.
• Supervise safe storage, rotation and disposal of vaccines and drugs; follow infection-control guidelines.
• Prescribe within defined competence and manage a caseload of complex patients.
• Encourage cost-effective prescribing and participate in clinical audits.
