Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Locum Adults Social Worker specializing in Learning Disabilities & Transitions for Derby, UK. This full-time, ongoing role offers an hourly rate of £35 and a flexible locum arrangement, supporting adults as they transition to adulthood.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, apply the MCA and DoLS, ensure robust casework, and navigate court proceedings when required. A degree in social work with SW England registration and relevant UK experience are

What you will do:

• Assess the needs of adults with learning disabilities and those transitioning to adulthood, ensuring a supportive and empowering approach
• Collaborate with various agencies and professionals to establish comprehensive support plans
• Engage with families and social networks to enhance the support structures for individuals
• Ensure adherence to legal requirements, understanding and applying the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)

Requirements of the Social Worker:

You must have a degree or equivalent qualification in social work with current Social Work England registration.
