We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our West Essex Neighbourhood team, operating across Harlow and Epping. The team forms part of a Neighbourhood approach, working closely with partners in health, housing, and the voluntary sector.
The team works with adults aged 18 and above across all specialisms, undertaking duties such as assessments, reviews, mental capacity assessments, and adult safeguarding under the Care Act 2014.
The role involves conducting Care Act assessments, reviews, and safeguarding. The ideal candidate will reside locally to be responsive, possess knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Care Act, and have established experience in Adult Social Care.
This role offers hybrid working, with an expectation to be office-based at Goodman House in Harlow around 2 days per week, depending on business needs for collaborative team working and training.
You should be a qualified social worker post-ASYE with current Social Work England registration and substantial experience in Adult Social Care. You will bring significant social work experience, modeling best practices, and providing advice in complex situations. You should have a comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations, and guidance.
Experience in chairing meetings with clients, families, carers, and multi-agency professionals is essential. You should be able to develop strong relationships with partner agencies and the community to support vulnerable adults.
