Job summary

Northumberland County Council’s Adults, Ageing & Wellbeing Directorate is seeking experienced Social Workers to join Central Care and Support in Morpeth. The role supports adults 18+ with physical and mental health needs, offering autonomy balanced with supervision and collaboration with partner agencies.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, manage your own caseload, and work under guidance from Advanced Social Work Practitioners and the Team Manager.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, qualified Social Workers with a commitment to continuous development.
• UK ASYE programme completed.
• Valid UK driving licence required; car ownership or ability to use a car for work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments with autonomy and support.
• Manage your own caseload with regular supervision from senior practitioners.
• Understand the Care Act and Local Authority statutory duties.
