Job summary

Hull City Council is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join the Adult Social Care Locality teams. This is a full-time, permanent role offering progression from ASYE through Grade 9 within an integrated multi-disciplinary framework focused on person-centred assessments and safeguarding.

You will work with adults at risk, families and carers, using Care Act and Mental Capacity Act guidance to plan care, support independence, and enable people to live the lives they choose.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of social work practice and legislation including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
• Excellent assessment and analysis skills.
• High level of literacy and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality social work practice within Adult Social Care as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Develop person‑centred assessments and care and support plans addressing hopes, goals and wellbeing.
