About the Childcare Lawyer position:

Sellick Partnership is exclusively recruiting a permanent Childcare Lawyer for the supportive Legal Team. The ideal candidate will be qualified with experience in Childcare Law, preferably from a local authority but applications from private practice are welcome. The role offers hybrid working, with attendance required in Catford twice weekly.

Main duties include:

• Deputise for Senior Social Care Lawyers
• Manage a busy caseload of child protection cases, including advocacy in the Central Family Court
• Advise Social Services clients on relevant legislation, both in writing and in person
• Prepare legal documentation, court documents, and advise on social care law
• Attend meetings with clients, external parties, and panels, providing legal advice
• Conduct legal research
