Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital seeks a Speech and Language Therapist for an eight-month fixed-term post in the acute specialism. You will assess, diagnose and treat adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders, manage a delegated caseload and provide education to patients and carers.

The role offers supervision and links with the University of East Anglia, with the opportunity to develop expertise in dysphagia and to work within an MDT in the NHS setting.

Qualifications

• SLT registered with HCPC (and RCSLT).
• Undergraduate clinical experience in adult acquired communication and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
• Manage delegated caseload with clinical accountability.
• Plan intervention and discharge per RCSLT guidelines and service standards.
• Adapt assessment and intervention to individual patients, including AAC.
