Job summary

NHS Forth Valley is seeking a Public Protection Advisor (Adults) to deliver a coordinated adult protection response across the NHS Forth Valley region. The post holder will advise health staff on legislation and national policy, and help develop local procedures to support practice.

They will collaborate with the Chief Nurse, Nurse Consultant, and other senior staff to build effective multi-agency relationships and ensure high-quality safeguarding for adults.

Qualifications

• Hold professional registration with NMC or HCPC.
• Significant post-registration experience in adult care.
• Postgraduate diploma in Adult Protection or equivalent.
• First degree or equivalent with ability to study at postgraduate level.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, advice and support to health staff on adult protection legislation.
• Deliver high-quality adult protection response and coordination service.
• Develop local procedures informing practice.
• Build and maintain multi-agency Adult Protection relationships.
• Travel throughout the service delivery area as needed.
