Job summary

The Reynolds Group Ltd, via Reynolds Training Academy, is seeking an experienced Personal Training Tutor and Assessor to run a fast track Level 2/Level 3 Personal Training program at our Bexley gym & spa. You’ll manage the full learner journey from induction to certification, with practical gym delivery, online theory support, and ongoing assessment.

The role covers evenings and a Saturday over 16 weeks, with home study support and consistent tutor contact.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 2 & 3 Personal Training qualifications.
• recognised teaching and assessor qualifications are essential.
• DBS check or willingness to obtain; eligible to work in the UK.
• Experience with fast track/blended delivery and online learning platforms.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver theory and practical sessions for Level 2 and 3.
• Assess learner knowledge and practical competence; provide feedback.
• Support home study and track learner progress across 16 weeks.
• Prepare learners for certification and QA visits.

ROLE OVERVIEW: We are looking for an experienced Personal Training Tutor and Assessor to deliver our fast track adult Level 2 and Level 3 Personal Training programme from induction to final assessment. You will own the full learner journey: teaching, assessing, supporting home study and getting learners through certification.

ABOUT US: Reynolds Training Academy as part of The Reynolds Group comprising of a training academy and luxury gyms and spas This course will be delivered at our Bexley gym & spa

• Programme: Level 2 Fitness coaching (Gym) and Level 3 Personal Training, delivered as one combined fast track for adult learners.
• Duration: 16 weeks, plus independent home study for each learner with tutor support
• Sessions: two weekday evenings and one Saturday per week
• Delivery: practical gym sessions and assessment days, with online theory & learner support between sessions.
• Ownership: one tutor delivers the whole course start to finish, giving learners consistency and one point of contact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teaching and learning
• Plan and deliver engaging theory and practical sessions across the full Level 2 and Level 3 syllabus, including anatomy and physiology, nutrition, programme design, client consultation and gym instructing.
• Produce schemes of work, session plans and learning resources that fit a fast track pace.
• Adapt delivery to adult learners with different backgrounds, confidence levels and learning needs.
• Set, track and support home study so learners stay on schedule.
• Assess learner knowledge and practical competence against awarding body criteria, giving clear written and verbal feedback.
• Observe and record practical assessments, including client consultations and programme delivery.
• Keep accurate, auditable assessment records and meet all awarding body deadlines.
• Support learners through resubmissions and re-assessments.
• Quality assurance
• Prepare for and support awarding body external quality assurance visits.
• Follow the centre’s policies on safeguarding, equality and diversity, health and safety, and malpractice.
• Learner support and administration
• Run induction, track attendance and progress, and flag learners at risk of falling behind early.
• Be the learners’ main point of contact for questions, pastoral support and exam preparation.
• Report progress and any issues to programme manager regularly.
• Help learners prepare for industry entry, including registration and job‑seeking guidance.
• Work with the programme manger

REQUIREMENTS

• Level 2 & 3 Personal Training qualification (or higher)
• Recognised teaching qualification
• Recognised assessor qualification
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and right to work in the UK
• Availability for all scheduled evenings and Saturday sessions across the 16 weeks starting in January 2027
• Experience as an IQA for a fitness awarding body
• Experience with fast track or blended learning delivery
• Experience using an online learning platform or e‑portfolio
• Credible, motivating and approachable with adult career‑changers.
• Organised and disciplined enough to keep a fast track course on schedule.
• Thorough and fair in assessment, with clear, constructive feedback.
• Comfortable with a mix of classroom teaching, practical coaching and online support.
• Reliable and professional, with a genuine passion for fitness education.
