Job summary

Westminster Abbey is seeking a dedicated Adult Engagement professional to develop and deliver public programmes and community activities. You will work within a growing Engagement team to broaden access, foster participation and deepen understanding of the Abbey’s memorials.

You will build relationships with community partners, coordinate events, and contribute to digital content, volunteering and education initiatives, including work with schools.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
• Experience or training in adult learning and public programming.
• Experience delivering events and programmes in arts, heritage, or cultural settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver public programmes, events, activities, and themed tours for diverse audiences.
• Support community engagement programmes and build relationships with community groups.
• Build partnerships with community organisations, facilitators and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate delivery of events with internal teams, partners and volunteers, ensuring briefings and support.
• Evaluate impact using data and audience insights to inform future programming.
• Contribute to wider engagement by developing digital content and assisting with family and schools activities.
