Job summary

Adoption West in Bristol seeks a part-time social worker to provide advice and support to adoptive families and assess their needs. You will work with children and families with complex needs and may provide therapeutic support directly or via ASF applications.

The role requires a Social Work degree and current registration with Social Work England, with experience in child and family social work, and the ability to manage caseloads and meet deadlines. Flexible working arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

• Social Work qualification (degree or equivalent) and current registration with Social Work England.
• Experience of working as a Social Worker or student placement with children and families.
• Understanding of trauma/abuse and its impact on children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and support to adoptive families.
• Assess the support needs of adoptive families.
• Work with children and families with complex needs.
• Provide therapeutic support to families directly or via ASF applications.
