Job summary

Solventum seeks a seasoned clinical coder to support NHS-based implementations as a subject matter expert, guiding configurations and ensuring compliant data workflows. You will engage customers, translate requirements, and ensure accurate documentation for successful rollouts.

You’ll lead discovery, deliver training, and provide go‑live support, focusing on EMR/documentation workflows, testing, and hands-on user support across onsite and remote settings.

Qualifications

• NCCQ qualification current and valid.
• ACC status up to date.
• At least 4 years’ NHS clinical coder experience.
• Experience with EMR/workflows and medical coding processes.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME, supporting the Project Manager during customer implementations.
• Lead requirements discovery and intake in implementations.
• Drive user engagement through remote and onsite presentations and demos.
• Configure, test and validate solutions including end-to-end testing and UAT support.
• Deliver end‑user training and train‑the‑trainer programmes.
• Provide go‑live support through remote sessions and onsite assistance.
• Document final configurations and handover to post‑implementation teams.
• Act as voice of the customer, identifying enhancements during implementation.
• Conduct clinical audits.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

• Act as a subject matter expert, supporting the Project Manager throughout customer implementation projects
• Lead customer requirements discovery and intake during implementations
• Drive user engagement through remote and onsite presentations and product demonstrations
• Configure, test and validate solutions, including requirements translation, documentation, end-to-end testing and UAT support
• Deliver end‑user training and train‑the‑trainer programmes, including development of tailored training strategies and materials
• Provide go‑live support through remote sessions and onsite floor‑walking with at‑the‑elbow user assistance
• Document final configurations and implementation outcomes to support handover to post‑implementation support teams
• Act as the voice of the customer, identifying enhancement opportunities and serving as a liaison between users and Solventum during implementation
• Conduct clinical audits

Your Skills and Expertise

• National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ)
• Accredited Clinical Coder (ACC) status up to date
• At least 4 years’ experience as a clinical coder in the NHS
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record workflows, documentation workflows, medical coding workflows
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience in dealing with customers, preferably with healthcare providers, i.e., doctors, nurses, medical coders as well as their management
• Experience with workflows in electronic patient records, medical coding and/or familiarity with a specific hospital information system
• Experience in creating customer facing product documentation such as quick reference guides, training videos, demo collateral etc.
• Experience with functional testing and user acceptance testing
