Job Description:

Pertemps is recruiting for an experienced Adoption Social Worker in Merseyside within the Adoption Team. The role involves understanding children's needs and proactively seeking suitable adoptive families.

• The candidate should have a strong social work background in Adoption and a comprehensive understanding of all relevant regulations, legislation, and statutory guidance.
• The role manages a diverse caseload with a focus on adoption, adhering to policies and procedures, and maintaining a child-centered approach. Risk analysis and decision-making are key responsibilities.
• Maintaining quality standards, promoting good practice, and effective communication are essential. The role also involves partnership working to facilitate family finding activities.
• Excellent assessment, report writing, and planning skills are required, along with the ability to complete tasks within statutory timescales. Direct working experience and the ability to prepare Lifestory books for children or young people are important.
• This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days on-site per week at the Knowsley office, with a minimum 3-month placement and a 35-hour workweek.
