Our client, Liverpool City Council, is seeking an Adoption Social Worker to join their team.
This position is based in Adoption in Merseyside, within the Regional Adoption Agency's Family Finding Team. The role involves understanding children's needs and proactively identifying suitable adoptive families.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work within Adoption, with comprehensive knowledge of all relevant regulations, legislation, statutory guidance, and processes. The role requires managing a diverse caseload focused on adoption, adhering to policies and procedures, and maintaining a child-centered approach. The candidate must be capable of effectively analyzing risks to make informed decisions.
The role also involves ensuring quality standards are upheld, promoting good practice to mitigate risks, and building on strengths through effective communication and partnership working to facilitate family finding activities. Excellent assessment, report writing, and planning skills are essential, with the ability to complete tasks efficiently within statutory timescales. The candidate should be confident in direct work with children and young people and able to prepare Life Story Books.
This position offers a hybrid working arrangement: three days on-site at the Knowsley office per week.
