Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking an experienced adoption professional to act as Agency Decision Maker for Adopt South, the regional adoption agency serving Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton. You will review adopter approvals, children's plans for adoption and matches across partner authorities, making final decisions on behalf of Adopt South.

You should bring leadership at Head of Service or Service Manager level with strong safeguarding practice, be registered with Social

Qualifications

• Experienced adoption professional with knowledge of adoption regulations.
• Registered with Social Work England and hold a Social Work degree.
• Leadership experience at Head of Service or Service Manager level with safeguarding focus.

Responsibilities

• Review adoption panel recommendations and make final decisions.
• Oversee adopter approvals and children's plans for adoption across partner authorities.
• Work across the Adopt South region (Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, Southampton) with possible face-to-face meetings.
