What you will do

• Manage a complex caseload of adolescents under Child in Need, Child Protection, and Care Proceedings plans.
• Conduct in-depth risk assessments focusing on exploitation, extra-familial harm, missing episodes, trauma, and contextual safeguarding issues.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, assessments, and statements for court proceedings, child protection conferences, and statutory reviews.
• Lead complex safeguarding investigations and oversee multi‑agency risk management plans.
• Offer professional consultation, mentoring, and reflective practice support to less experienced social workers and ASYE practitioners.

Qualifications

• A degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Evidence of continued professional development in areas such as safeguarding, adolescent risk, or contextual safeguarding practice.
• Practice Educator Award or Advanced Practitioner training is desirable.

Registration and Compliance

• Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).

Experience

• Demonstrable post‑qualifying experience within Children’s Social Care.
• Proven track record of managing complex safeguarding and child protection cases.
