Sanctuary Personnel Limited is seeking an Adolescent Safeguarding Advanced Practitioner for Dudley Children's Social Care on an ongoing locum basis with the flexibility of full-time or part-time work, at £41 per hour.

You will manage complex caseloads, perform risk assessments, prepare reports for court, lead safeguarding investigations, and mentor junior staff while enjoying flexible scheduling and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Evidence of continued professional development in areas such as safeguarding, adolescent risk, or contextual safeguarding practice.
• Practice Educator Award or Advanced Practitioner training is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex caseload of adolescents under Child in Need, Child Protection, and Care Proceedings plans.
• Conduct in-depth risk assessments focusing on exploitation, extra-familial harm, missing episodes, trauma, and contextual safeguarding issues.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, assessments, and statements for court proceedings, child protection conferences, and statutory reviews.
• Lead complex safeguarding investigations and oversee multi-agency risk management plans.
• Offer professional consultation, mentoring, and reflective practice support to less experienced social workers and ASYE practitioners.
