We are seeking a qualified Social Worker to join the Transition Team within Children's Services in Dudley. This is an opportunity to contribute to an ongoing period of service improvement and transformation, supporting high-quality services and positive outcomes for children, young people and families.
The role will involve working alongside experienced colleagues to support service improvement, contribute to the Families First Programme and wider national reforms, and strengthen practice across Children's Services.
Service Improvement: Support the ongoing improvement journey within Children's Services and contribute to strengthening practice.
Children and Families: Deliver high-quality social work services to children and families, supporting positive outcomes and effective intervention.
Families First Programme: Contribute to the implementation and embedding of the Families First Programme.
Service Transformation: Support service transformation and wider national reform initiatives within Children's Services.
Safeguarding Practice: Work with families requiring assessment and coordinated plans, including child protection plans, pre-proceedings and care proceedings work.
Permanency Planning: Contribute to effective permanency planning and support positive family relationships and networks.
Family Support: Work alongside Family Help services and local partners to support families earlier when problems and difficulties can be addressed.
Professional Practice: Bring professional expertise, challenge and energy to strengthen social work practice across the service.

The service supports families through assessment, coordinated planning, child protection, pre-proceedings and care proceedings, with a focus on effective permanency planning and family networks.
