Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a full-time, fixed-term Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the Children and Young People Services on an adolescent acute ward in Middlesbrough.

The post requires autonomous practice, HCPC registration and experience with young people aged 13–18 with complex mental health needs. Collaboration with the MDT and supervision of junior staff are key aspects of the role.

Competenze

• Recognised Occupational Therapy degree and HCPC registration.
• Post-registration training in OT interventions relevant to the post.
• Member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT).
• Experience in managing a clinical caseload and working within an MDT.

Mansioni

• Screen all admitted/transferred young people in the acute ward.
• Develop and implement assessments and treatment plans.
• Facilitate group and 1:1 OT sessions.
• Advocate for young people with the MDT and families.
• Supervise AHP support staff and provide CPD guidance.
