Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Clinical/Forensic Psychologist at Band 8a for the Gardener Unit, Prestwich Hospital, Manchester. The post is a permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours) within a specialist CAMHS region.

The successful applicant will provide highly specialist applied psychology services to children and young people, with HCPC registration and experience in adolescent forensic settings.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered clinical or forensic psychologist.
• 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience of working with children and adolescents.
• Experience of working in adolescent forensic services.
• Experience of professional consultation.
• Experience of publication and training in adolescent or forensic practice.
• Experience of line management and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist Applied Psychology services to children and young people and their families.
• Provide psychological consultation to professionals involved in care.
• Undertake specialist psychological assessments and contribute to impactful recommendations.
• Lead service development projects and deliver training as agreed with leadership.
• Collaborate with other services within Specialist CAMHS and Gardener Unit to maintain a resilient team.
