Job description

We are looking for an organised, proactive and professional Admissions Officer to join our academy and take operational ownership of student admissions across Years 7-13, including Sixth Form. Working with the Assistant Principal who has overall responsibility for admissions, you will manage the day-to-day admissions process, acting as a key point of contact for students, parents/carers, the Local Authority, other schools and academy colleagues. You will ensure admissions are accurate, timely and compliant, while providing a positive experience for students and families. The role also includes supporting key transition, enrolment and admissions-related events throughout the academic year. This is predominantly a term-time role, with the postholder required to work two weeks during the school holidays each year. One of these weeks will be GCSE results week in August, which is a particularly important period for admissions and Sixth Form enrolment. We welcome applications from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time working hours and will consider flexible working arrangements where these can meet the needs of the academy. Please note that this is an on-site role and the successful candidate will be required to work at the academy. We are looking for someone with strong organisational and communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload with appropriate autonomy. Experience of working in a school or admissions environment would be advantageous. Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification for full details of the role and requirements.
