Salary: £45,413 to £55,755 + £5,400 London weighting

Contract Type: Fixed Term (until August 2026)

We’re looking for an experienced and organised admissions professional to join our team as Deputy Head of Admissions for a London based University.

In this key role, you’ll support the Head of Student Recruitment and Admissions in leading a busy, responsive team. You’ll take ownership of specific admissions workstreams, manage staff, and help drive service improvements, ensuring a smooth and positive journey for all applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day admissions operations across all applicant groups
  • Line manage the Admissions Operations Manager and support wider team development
  • Support and deputise for the Head of Student Recruitment and Admissions as required
  • Lead on system improvements, workflow planning, and service delivery
  • Monitor performance against service level agreements using data and reports
  • Maintain strong relationships across faculties and support services
  • Ensure compliance with university and sector policies, including UCAS requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Demonstrable experience in a higher education admissions role, with an excellent understanding of UCAS processes
  • Proven track record of managing people and working to deadlines in a fast-paced education environment
  • Strong IT and system skills – ideally with CRM or student record systems
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Educated to degree level or with equivalent relevant experience
