Job summary

Bohill Care Home, located just outside Coleraine Town Centre, is seeking an Administrator to support daily operations and act as the first point of contact for residents, families and staff. You will work closely with the Home Manager and Finance, HR, and Recruitment teams to meet administrative needs.

The role is 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with an emphasis on reception, records management and general admin duties.

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in an administrative or customer service role (preferred in nursing home environment).
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with good English and numeracy.

Responsibilities

  • Reception duties - greet visitors, answer phones, and manage email correspondence.
  • Record management - update resident files with confidentiality and data protection compliance.
  • Scheduling - assist in scheduling appointments, meetings, and staff rotas.
  • Staff support - manage timesheets, attendance, and training sessions.
  • Financial administration - assist with invoices, petty cash, and resident billing queries.
  • General office tasks - filing, supplies orders, and ad hoc admin duties.

Our home features 80 spacious single en-suite bedrooms spread across two floors, along with beautifully maintained gardens that provide a peaceful space for residents to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We offer specialised care across three dedicated units: Dementia Nursing, Dementia Residential, and Frail Elderly Nursing, all focused on delivering compassionate, person-centred support. The Role Working closely with the Home Manager, you will play an essential role in supporting the daily operation of the Home by managing the administrative tasks, and also being the first port of call for residents, family members and team members with any queries they may have. As Administrator, you will also build strong relationships with the Finance, HR and Recruitment teams at Head Office, in order to meet the administrative needs of the Home. Required Criteria
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience within an administrative or customer service role (preferably a nursing home environment) is essential.
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent standard, with a high level of English and numeracy.
  • Excellent keyboard and PC skills with an excellent level of proficiency for Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional administration, organisation and receptionist skills.
