Job summary

Bolton Council is recruiting for a permanent, term-time only role in the Music Service at Grade C scp 5 (£22,097) to scp 6 (£22,448), working 37 hours per week. You will play a vital part in supporting thousands of children and young people on their musical journeys, coordinating meetings and events, managing information and assisting with financial processes.

This is a customer-facing, administrative role requiring organised, proactive individuals who can work as part of a supportive team;

The Role

Are you someone who takes pride in keeping things organised, spotting what needs doing, and making it happen? Join our Music Service and play a vital role in supporting the musical journeys of thousands of children and young people. Working closely with the Business Development Officer and wider team, you will help ensure the smooth running of a busy, creative and inspiring service. From coordinating meetings and events to managing information, supporting financial processes and providing excellent customer service, you'll be at the heart of a team that is passionate about making music accessible and transforming young lives through music education.

You are a positive, proactive and highly organised individual who enjoys being part of a supportive team. You thrive in a busy environment, can juggle competing priorities, and have a natural ability to see what needs attention and get it done. With strong administrative and IT skills, you communicate confidently, build excellent relationships, and take pride in delivering a high standard of service. Most importantly, you'll bring enthusiasm, initiative and a collaborative approach, helping to create a welcoming and enjoyable workplace while supporting a service that makes a real difference to children and young people through music.
