Maiden Erlegh School in Reading is seeking an organised and professional Administrative Support Assistant - Pastoral to provide effective administrative support to our pastoral team. This varied role supports the Pastoral Manager, Heads of Year, behaviour team and senior leaders, ensuring pastoral and behaviour processes are well organised, accurate and responsive for students.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of MIS packages would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for referrals to external agencies, maintaining detailed and accurate records.
• Coordinate the recording and monitoring of Alternative Provision.
• Support students in attending appointments.
• Provide daily cover within student services.
• Provide administrative support to the Pastoral Manager, Heads of Year, behaviour team and senior leaders.
• Maintain and monitor pastoral and safeguarding documentation, ensuring information is stored and filed accurately.
• Attend meetings and complete follow-up actions.
• Support and work collaboratively with the wider administration team.
• Produce regular pastoral performance data for senior leaders.
• Identify trends within pastoral data and elevate emerging issues.
• Liaise with parents/carers and external agencies in support of students’ pastoral care.
• Undertake First Aid training and respond to First Aid requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold data protection requirements.

Maiden Erlegh School in Reading is seeking an organised and professional Administrative Support Assistant - Pastoral to provide effective administrative support to our pastoral team.

This is a varied role supporting the Pastoral Manager, Heads of Year, behaviour team and senior leaders. You will help ensure that pastoral and behaviour processes are well organised, accurate and responsive, supporting colleagues to provide effective pastoral care for students.

Key responsibilities

The ideal candidate

You will have strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise your workload and respond effectively to the needs of different stakeholders. You will be reliable, tactful and sensitive, with a clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality when working with students and families.

You will be able to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team and will have strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of MIS packages would be an advantage but is not essential. An NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent is required.

You will also demonstrate a flexible approach to your work and a commitment to developing your knowledge and practice.
