An opportunity has arisen within Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) Business Admin, Children Services, for three Admininistrative Officers to support and manage Health Visiting, School Health and Parenting Team administration staff. The successful candidates will report to the GCC Resource Managers for Children Services in the three locality GCHSCP areas.
The Health Visiting and School Health Services are supported by approximately 35 administration staff, consisting of Band 2, Band 3 and Band 4. Staff are located within the Health Centres across the partnership. The Health Visiting Team offer a home visiting service supporting families from antenatal visits to school age children. Nursery Nurses work within this team supporting families with development and play within their home. Health Care Support Workers also work closely with families supporting them with parenting, isolation and accessing relevant services.
The Parenting Team are supported by two administration staff based within the North East locality. The Parenting Team deliver accessible, appropriate, culturally sensitive evidence based parenting support and advice to families in the form of parenting groups across Glasgow City.
The Administrative Officer role supervises a team of clerical / administration staff to support operational delivery, allocate and review the work of the admin team and manage attendance and performance of the team. They will also be responsible for the training and development of the team. They will be required to assist the Resource Manager in reviewing current processes, establishing and implementing new business processes and systems and structures to support the key functions within the team as required.
Candidates must possess administrative and supervisory experience. To fulfil this role, applicants should have relevant working knowledge, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and organisational skills.
This is an integrated position as part of the Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership.
